Youth in hospital after early-morning shooting

Winnipeg police are investigating an overnight shooting in the 400 block of Pritchard Avenue.

A shooting in the North End sent one person to hospital early this morning.

Winnipeg police and emergency services personnel were called to an incident in the 400 block of Pritchard Avenue at approximately 1 a.m.

A male youth was shot in the upper body and was was taken to hospital in critical condition. Police say his condition has since been upgraded to stable.

As of 6 a.m., police were still in the process of interviewing several witness and had no suspects in custody.

The investigation is ongoing.
