Zucchero is coming to Winnipeg in March.

Italian rock legend Zucchero is coming to Winnipeg for a rare, intimate concert at the West End Cultural Centre on Friday, March 21, 2014.

Advance tickets are $35 and go on sale Friday, Jan. 24 at 10 a.m. at Ticketmaster, West End Cultural Centre, Music Trader and Winnipeg Folk Festival Music Store. Tickets will be $40 at the door.

During his 40-year career, Zucchero has worked with a host of rock royals, including Eric Clapton, Brian Wilson, Bono, Buddy Guy, Sting, Brian May with members of Queen and B.B. King. He’s toured with Joe Cocker and Miles Davis and sang with Luciano Pavarotti and Tom Jones. He’s performed at the Montreux Jazz Festival, where he played with Little Richard.

Zucchero will be touring in support of La Sesión Cubana, which was recorded in Havana in 2012 with some of Cuba’s best musicians.
