Convenience stores hit

ARMED robbers hit two convenience stores in the city Saturday.

A convenience store in the 1000 block of McPhillips Street was robbed of cigarettes early Saturday morning by a lone man armed with a weapon.

The suspect fled on foot. The employee was not hurt.

The suspect is described as aboriginal in appearance, 18-20 years old, with short, shaved, black hair.

The second convenience store, in the 1000 block of Henderson Highway, was robbed by a lone man armed with a weapon at about 2 a.m. Saturday.

The suspect fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash and cigarettes. The lone employee was not hurt.

The suspect is described as aboriginal in appearance, 18-25 years old, with a thin build and dark hair.

Anyone with information on either of these robberies or the identity of the suspects is asked to contact investigators at 204-986-6219 or Crime Stoppers at 204-786-TIPS (8477).

Teenager stabbed

POLICE are investigating a stabbing late Friday afternoon in the area of Donald Street and Graham Avenue.

An 18-year-old man was stabbed about 4 p.m. The suspect is described as aboriginal in appearance, male, 17-19 years old, with a thin build and short, dark hair. The victim is in stable condition. Anyone with information on this incident is asked to contact investigators at 204-986-6668 or Crime Stoppers at 204-786-TIPS (8477).
