Dark Knight arrives just after midnight

THE release date of Christopher Nolan's final Batman movie The Dark Knight Rises is Friday, July 20, but eager Winnipeg fans have the option of catching the film's first screening at 12:01 a.m. Friday morning. Those tickets are already selling briskly.

The true hard-core fans will have the opportunity to binge out on all three of Nolan's films on the big screen back-to-back at The Dark Knight Trilogy Marathon, screening in three Winnipeg theatres -- Grant Park, Polo Park Silver City and St. Vital Silver City -- on July 19. The program begins with Batman Begins at 6:40 p.m., followed by The Dark Knight at 9:15pm and finishing off with the final instalment The Dark Knight Rises at 12:01 a.m.

The screening of The Dark Knight Rises is a separate admission from the first two films.
