Delta to jazz up Minny trips

DELTA Air Lines is upgrading its service on some of its flights between Winnipeg and Minneapolis.

The Winnipeg Airports Authority announced Thursday that beginning Aug. 14, Delta will fly a larger plane and offer more in-flight services, including Wi-Fi throughout the cabin, on flights that depart for Minneapolis at 7:40 a.m. and 4:50 p.m. each day.

The WAA said the new planes will be 76- and 69-seat models, instead of the 50-seat models that will continue to fly on the other three flights the airline offers each day between the two cities.

Delta spokesman Joe Esposito said the upgrades "will provide even more travel choices for our customers, particularly business travellers, with the option of First Class, Economy Comfort and Economy seating and the additional amenities of our two-class aircraft."
