Hey there, time traveller!

Getting cleavage from coal
It's war among the models! prominent British catwalker Edie Campbell -- she's in Burberry ads -- has denounced the whole Victoria's Secret crew.
"I always find Victoria's Secret models a bit weird," she told Love magazine. "It's just a load of girls going, 'Look how good my cleavage looks.' It's purely women offered up to men."
The current VS roster has several Brits, including skinny Cara Delevingne, model/actress Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, and curvier Kelly Brook.
Campbell, an architect's daughter who attended the exclusive St. Paul's Girls' School, singled out Brook: "You get girls that have made a (rude word) tonne of money out of taking their clothes off -- and largely by being a sex object," she says. "Victoria's Secret is like coal mining; Kelly Brook is like a coal mine."
Author scraping by
Patricia Cornwell, author of the Kay Scarpetta crime novels people read on airplanes, is suing her financial advisors, an outfit called Anchin, Block, Anchin. She claims she's down to her last $14 million and has had to sell her private helicopter, her Ferrari, and her Bentley, because of ABA's bad advice and bad investments.
The company is arguing that she's just a big spender -- private jet, personal assistants, large estate, pied--terre in the Trump Towers in N.Y., etc.
She's not apologizing, notes the N.Y. Daily News, and I like the way she put it: "I'm still not known for being frugal. I have a big life."
Damn straight. If you've got it, flaunt it. You go, girl! She's 56.
Can't they read?
After examining the Grammy show photos, I'm sorry to have to report that the officious CBS diktat I quoted the other day -- about permitted and banned Grammy attire -- was ignored in several cases.
Rihanna, we learned right through the top of her gown, has piercings. Kelly Rowland and Katy Perry, to name just two, displayed more cleavage than CBS would have liked. J Lo's skirt was slit all the way up. The DJ Deadmau5 wore a hat with a rude word.
What's wrong with these people, anyway?
That's a lot of beans
Rowan Atkinson -- you know, Mr. Bean -- likes to drive fast. But he's not too good at it, apparently, because he keeps crashing his McLaren F1.
Now his insurance company has had to pay out a record £910,000 ($1.4 million) to repair it after the second crash, 16 months ago. The company's not named but the payout is a British record, says the newspaper The Independent.
Viola Davis got an Oscar nomination for her role as a white family's maid in the 2011 movie The Help, but she says she's done with such roles now: no more servants.
"I'm tired of that," she told CNN "Me and Octavia [Spencer], Aunjanue Ellis, RoslynRuff -- we all played maids in The Help. It's a fabulous story because we were personalized and all of those things, but I think that people need to see an African American in the 21st century integrated, not in servitude."
Fantine's biggest fan
Now it can be told: Scarlett Johansson says she auditioned for the role of Fantine in the Les Miserables movie, because she has loved the story since high school.
"I sang my little heart out," she told Broadway.com. But "I auditioned with laryngitis."
Anne Hathaway won the gig, and ScarJo now graciously says that "looking at the film now, there's no possible way I ever could have topped that performance."
Set fire to the name
So, Adele, your son is four months old now and you still won't tell the world his name? What's up with that? Anyway, the world is pretty sure the lad is called Angelo.
The singer is being mysteriously coy, saying in January that "I am not sharing his name at the moment. It is very personal to me. I am enjoying him on my own."
Strange, no? But then she was spotted wearing a little gold necklace with the word "Angelo." And at the BAFTA awards, she sported a script capital letter "A" tattooed behind her left ear.
She's 24. And strange.
Eva gets some clothes
Can you name a female B-lister who does not have her own clothing line? I guess there are still a few, but now we can cross Eva Mendes off the list. She has signed with a retail outfit called New York & Company, says WWD, to design and market Eva by Eva Mendes-brand daywear, evening dresses, and accessories. She's 38.
More marketing news:
-- Jennifer Lopez has a new perfume, Forever Glowing; it's her 19th fragrance.
-- Kate Upton, gracing the cover of Sports Illustrated's swimsuit issue, has also signed to be the face and figure of Accessorize, a retail chain selling... well, you can guess.
She's in rarified company: the firm has previously used Bar Rafaeli and the astonishing Claudia Schiffer.
Relationship on Berry shaky ground
Halle Berry's relationship with actor Olivier Martinez seems a little shaky, claims internet gossip Janet Charlton.
Halle spends a lot of time in L.A., since a judge refused to let her take Nahla, her daughter with ex-Montrealer Gabriel Aubry, to live in France.
But Ollie works in France, and hates Tinseltown, where he can't seem to land many roles. The two have been on different continents more and more lately, Charlton says.
They've been dating since 2010 and got engaged last year.
He's 47. Halle's 46. Nahla's almost 5.
