Bull riding returns

THERE'LL be plenty of bull flying around the MTS Centre Saturday and Sunday when the Professional Bull Riders Rocky Cup Series returns to shake the house with its Winnipeg Invitational. The seventh stop on the series gets underway on Saturday at 7:30 pm and Sunday at 2 pm.

The two-day event will feature 35 of the finest bull riders in Canada and the World such as PBR Canada's current season leader Tyler Pankewitz of Warburg, AB, reigning Canadian national champion Scott Schiffner of Strathmore, AB and 2006 Canadian national runner--up Aaron Roy of Asquith, SK.

The event consists of three rounds of competition with all 35 riders competing in round one action Saturday night. The same 35 riders compete in second round action Sunday afternoon with the top eight riders competing in the final round Sunday afternoon. The rider with the highest combined score on three head of bulls is declared the event champion.
