Hotel robbed today by men with tire iron

Police are investigating a theft at a Winnipeg hotel early today by two men armed with a tire iron.

The robbery at the Thriftlodge/Canadiana Motor Inn, 1400 Notre Dame Ave., happened about 6:30 a.m.

An onlooker described the robbers as two native men in their early 20s who fled on foot, eastbound on Notre Dame.
