Two stabbings in North End

A man found at Stella Avenue and McKenzie Street early this morning is in hospital after being stabbed.

Winnipeg police spokeswoman Const. Jacqueline Chaput said today the man - who suffered wounds to his upper body - was taken to a hospital in unstable condition. He has since been upgraded to stable condition.

Soon after police went to a residence, in the 700 block of Selkirk Avenue, where they found a woman suffering from stab wounds to her midsection. She was taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police believe the stabbings are related and are still investigating.
