Man charged after double stabbing in North End

A 24-year-old man has been charged after a double stabbing in the North End early Saturday.

A man allegedly got into a fight with two people about 6 a.m. at a residence in the 700-block of Selkirk Avenue, police said.

A 27-year-old man was taken to hospital, from near Stella Avenue and McKenzie Street, in unstable condition with stab wounds to his upper body.

A 27-year-old woman was found with stab wounds at a housing complex on Selkirk Avenue, police said.

The suspect, who police are not naming, was arrested early Saturday night by Division 13 detectives. He faces multiple charges including two counts of aggravated assault, and breach of probation.

He has been detained in custody, said police.
