Woman stabbed, robbed of her bicycle

A 44-year-old woman on a bicycle was stabbed and robbed by three people early Saturday. She was taken to hospital in stable condition, police said.

The woman was riding in a rear lane near Selkirk Avenue, between McGregor and Andrews streets, about 1 a.m. when she was a confronted by two men and a woman, who told her to give them her bicycle.

After the woman gave her bike to the trio they demanded money. They then attacked the woman, stabbing her in the lower body.

The two males are described by police as aboriginal in appearance, with dark hair and slim builds. They are described as in their mid-20s.

The female is described as aboriginal in appearance, about 16 years of age. She is described as 5-feet tall, with a slim build and medium- length brown hair.

Detectives with Division 13 are investigating the incident.
