Rain will ease up later today

Now that the thirsty ground has had a good drink, the rain is expected to slow later this morning.

About 14 mm of rain fell on Winnipeg in the past 24 hours, soaking lawns and farmers’ fields during a spring that has been relatively dry.

Today is expected to hit a high of 14C with a 40 per cent chance of more showers. Tonight will be cloudy, with a 40 per cent chance of showers early in the evening, and a low of five.

Wednesday and Thursday are both expected to be sunny, with highs of about 20.

Friday’s high is expected to be 19, and Saturday will hit 15.
