Brandon RCMP are asking for the public's help in locating two people after a break-and-enter about 9:30 a.m. Monday at a farm in the RM of Daly, 16 kilometres northwest of Alexander.
RCMP were called to the area by concerned neighbours who had seen two men walking down the driveway.
Investigation found the men went to the residence shortly after 8 a.m. Monday. They asked to use the phone, saying their vehicle had run out of gas and they needed to call someone to come and get them.
After the resident left the house the two men returned and broke into the farmhouse, police believe. Money, a .22- magnum rifle, a single-shot 12-gauge shotgun, a Sony Playstation 2, and liquor were stolen.
Police are looking for two suspects in their late teens or early 20s. One suspect is described as wearing black track pants and black hoodie, with the hood pulled up over his head, with a slender build.
The second suspect is described as wearing longer white shorts and a white hoodie, and heavier set. They were driving a red 1991 Oldsmobile Cutlass with Saskatchewan plates which has since been recovered by the RCMP.
