Local environmental activists are countering the Manitoba Pork Council’s ‘Unfriendly Manitoba’ ad campaign with one of their own.
This morning, they’re launching
Unlike the pork council, which says that the Doer government’s moratorium on hog expansion will devastate the industry, the environmentalists say Bill 17 doesn’t go far enough as it would still allow “unfriendly factory hog barns to continue to operate and expand in most of rural Manitoba.”
They are holding a news conference today to launch their campaign.
