Police have arrested two people in connection with a hit and run at Selkirk Avenue and Andrews Street on June 8, 2008.
A 19-year-old woman was hit by a car attempting to cross the intersection. The vehicle was driven from the area and was located nearby after being abandoned.
The investigation revealed that the driver fled the scene and the registered owner of the vehicle later reported the vehicle stolen in an attempt to evade involvement in the collision.
The 39-year-old owner of the vehicle is facing charges of public mischief, obstructing peace officer and failure to stop at the scene of an accident.
The 36-year-old driver is facing charges of driving impaired causing bodily harm, failure to stop at the scene of an accident, driving while suspended and criminal negligence causing bodily harm.
Both suspects were released on a promise to appear.
