We Day is coming back to Winnipeg.
Free the Children announced Thursday that We Day will be here Oct. 30 for the third straight year.
The MTS Centre has been packed the last two years with 18,000 students being inspired to undertake social-justice projects locally and globally.
Inspirational speakers have included former Soviet president Mikhail Gorbachev, former U.S. vice-president Al Gore, and former prime minister Paul Martin.
The Free Press will be a major sponsor again this year.
"We Day is a fantastic and effective way of getting young people involved in volunteer work in their communities and around the world. The Free Press is proud to be a supporter of Free the Children and will continue to support the third We Day held in Winnipeg," Free Press publisher Bob Cox said Thursday.
