The Canadian Western Bank is opening its second banking centre in Winnipeg today.
The new branch south of IKEA just off Kenaston Boulevard is the Edmonton-based bank’s second Winnipeg location.
The combination of this branch, its original location on Portage Avenue and the CWB-owned and Winnipeg-based National Leasing, means the bank now employs more than 300 people in Manitoba.
New president Chris Fowler says the bank is looking to further enhance its presence in what he calls "this key western Canadian market."
The CWB has 41 branch locations in Western Canada specializing in mid-market commercial lending and offers a full complement of personal banking services.
