IKEA's restaurant ready for big opening

Wednesday's forecast is partly cloudy and a 100 per cent chance of Swedish meatballs.

The kitchen serving the 651-seat restaurant -- the biggest in Winnipeg -- has been open for several weeks now, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner to construction workers and fellow IKEA employees. The Free Press got a sneak peek -- and taste -- of IKEA's signature menu item. The verdict is "yum."
