Brazilian ag manufacturer to set up shop in city

A Brazilian agricultural equipment manufacturer has chosen Winnipeg to base its North American sales and service operations.

Motomco Group of Brazil, an international manufacturer of state-of-the-art grain quality-control products is opening a Canadian operation, called Canada Moisture Analyzers, in Winnipeg this summer. The Winnipeg shop will handle sales and service for its products which measure moisture content in grains.

The announcement was made today by Manitoba Premier Greg Selinger in Sao Paulo, Brazil during a Manitoba trade mission there.

The Brazilian company has been working with CentrePort Canada and is expected to set up an office with about six to seven employees in the King Edward and Border streets area.
