Author to discuss role of business executives during World War II

NEW ORLEANS - Author Arthur Herman will discuss the role of American business executives during World War II in a presentation Thursday at the National World War II Museum.

The talk is free and open to the public. It is part of the museum's Gen. Raymond E. Mason Jr. Distinguished Lecture Series.

Herman is a former visiting scholar at the American Enterprise Institute and author of many history books.

The lecture will be in the U.S. Freedom Pavilion's Boeing Center, a new complex that features warplanes.

The event begins with a reception at 5 p.m.
