The Boyd Group Income Fund has acquired a 25-location collision-repair company with locations in Illinois, Indiana and Florida.
The Winnipeg-based collision-repair company, which is coming off the best financial quarter in its history, paid $32.5 million for Dora Holdings, LLC, which operates as Collision Revision.
That company, which includes 15 locations in Chicago, generated about $50 million in revenue in 2013.
It is Boyd's seventh major multi-shop acquisition since 2010 and reinforces its position as the largest collision-repair operator in North America in terms of number of shops.
With the acquisition, Boyd will have 288 collision-repair locations across 15 states and five provinces.
The announcement was made after the close of trading Monday, when Boyd's units closed down 29 cents to $36.26.
