Finning signs contract with Imperial Oil for Kearl oilsands project

VANCOUVER, B.C. - Finning International Inc. (TSX:FTT) said Tuesday it has won a contract to be a mining mobile equipment supplier for Imperial Oil Ltd.'s (TSX:IMO) Kearl oilsands project.

Financial details were not immediately available.

The ten-year agreement includes the supply of Caterpillar equipment, parts, specialized maintenance labour and training.

Slated to start up in 2012, the first phase of Kearl has a planned capacity of 100,000 barrels of oil per day. At its peak, Kearl could produce as much as 345,000 barrels per day.

Finning is the world's largest Caterpillar equipment dealer.
