Marc Laliberte, president and chief executive officer of Via Rail Canada, will speak to the Economic Club of Canada. In Gatineau, Que., the CRTC holds a public hearing to renew CBC/Radio-Canada's licences.
Tuesday -- in Toronto, bakery goods and grocery giant George Weston Ltd. releases third-quarter results. In Ottawa, Statistics Canada releases wholesale trade for September, travel between Canada and other countries for September and job vacancies for August.
Wednesday -- in Moncton, Timothy Lane, deputy governor of the Bank of Canada, speaks to the Moncton Chamber of Commerce. In Toronto, the Teranet-National Bank National Composite House Price Index releases its October results.
Thursday -- U.S. stock and bond markets closed for Thanksgiving Day. In Halifax, N.S. Premier Darrell Dexter hosts the Council of the Federation International Economic Forum. In Ottawa, Statistics Canada releases retail trade for September and employment insurance for September.
