Entrepreneur group gives FP's Cash its 'Oscar'

The Startup Canada Awards have named Free Press business columnist Martin Cash its media person of the year for the Prairie region.

The Startup Canada Awards are considered the Oscars of the Canadian entrepreneurship community, recognizing those who create the environment for startups to thrive -- the mentors, incubators, institutions, companies and investors.

The Startup Canada Awards celebrate the individuals, communities and institutions in Canada that have demonstrated innovation, excellence, outstanding achievement and impact in advancing Canadian entrepreneurship.

The media person of the year is awarded to the Canadian media person who has demonstrated the greatest impact in advancing public awareness about entrepreneurs, entrepreneurship, and entrepreneurial issues and/or leveraged their public voice to champion entrepreneurship through the media and through their community service.
