Tapash Chakraborty
professor in the department of physics and astronomy, University of Manitoba, has been named a Fellow of the American Physical Society, 'for understanding of the spin structure of the fractional quantum Hall effect and the electronic properties of quantum dots.' The Canada Research Chair in Nanoscale Physics is an internationally recognized condensed matter theorist.
