Patricia Hamilton

has been appointed executive director of Career Trek by the company's board of directors. Hamilton has worked in various industries including construction, government and corporate banking. She has 10 years' experience working in urban aboriginal community organizations, most recently as employment services co-ordinator for the Centre for Aboriginal Human Resource Development Inc. in Winnipeg. Career Trek's former executive director, Darrell Cole, will be stepping into a founder and CEO role.

 

AWARDS

 

Tom Aldridge

has received the Pillar Award from Investors Group Financial Services Inc. The Pillar Award recognizes exceptional planning and service for Investors Group clients, based on Investors Group New Business for Consultants in their first four years. Aldridge works in the company's Winnipeg South office.

 

John Eaton

law librarian and associate professor at the E. K. Williams Law Library of the University of Manitoba, has been awarded the 2012 Marta Lange/CQ Press Award. This award is given to an academic or law librarian for contributions to bibliography and information service in law or political science. It is awarded by the Association of College and Research Libraries Law and Political Science Section.
