RBC Royal Bank
made the following appointments: Grant Simons, regional vice-president, commercial financial services, with 15 years in domestic and international commercial and retail banking, business strategy and entrepreneurship; Mark Saidi, vice-president commercial financial services, leads the Winnipeg-based commercial account management team; Bruce Gehlen, regional vice-president, greater Winnipeg, is responsible for RBC's retail banking operations in the Winnipeg area; Lynette Gillen, regional vice-president, Agassiz region, leads a team providing personal banking, financial planning and small business banking in Pembina Valley, Selkirk, Steinbach, Stonewall, Beausejour, Flin Flon, Thompson and surrounding communities.
Bison Transport and the Jessiman Foundation
announced a joint gift of $1 million toward the Assiniboine Park Conservancy's Imagine a Place campaign. The announcement was made by Rob Penner, executive vice-president and chief operating officer at Bison Transport, and Peter Jessiman, director of the Jessiman Foundation.
TOPIGS and Norsvin
have signed a strategic agreement for collaboration between the two breeding companies. The agreement makes it possible for Norsvin to use the TOPIGS Z-line for production of commercial sows in Norway, Sweden, Finland and Iceland. It also enables both companies to have access to new products and technology. Both companies are farmer-owned.
