Steph Fehr and Fletcher Noonan
have been promoted to associates of Syverson Monteyne Architecture Inc. They have assumed key leadership roles in the operation of the firm and will direct future growth and strategic initiatives.
Dr. Tamara Buchel
has been appointed executive director of the Manitoba College of Family Physicians, a chapter of the College of Family Physicians of Canada, a professional, non-profit organization representing family physicians across Canada.
John Godard
professor of business administration at the University of Manitoba, has been appointed chief editor of the British Journal of Industrial Relations for a four-year term. The BJIR is an international, peer-refereed research journal of the London School of Economics. It is the leading British journal in the field of industrial relations.
Dr. Pawan Singal
director of the Institute of Cardiovascular Sciences and professor of physiology, University of Manitoba, received a Lifetime/Outstanding Achievement award from the Indo-Canada Chamber of Commerce. Singal was cited for his international recognition in the field of "oxidative stress and heart failure" as well as for his leadership role in community projects.
Barrett Peitsch
has joined the management team as director, client services at Fusion Communications Group. Peitsch has been at Fusion for six years.
Andrea Katz
has joined Fusion Communications Group in a business-development and account-management role. She was a senior marketing and communications strategist at Mount Royal University.
Florence Ozirney
has been promoted to project manager/media buyer at Fusion Communications Group. Ozirney provides sustaining support for account managers, as well as media purchasing, trafficking and post-buy reporting.
John Leggat
has been appointed president & CEO of St. Amant, a member of the Catholic Health Network. His experience includes various senior management roles with the provincial government as well as leading various not-for-profit organizations.
Sam Gabor, Kyla Pedersen, Jessica Schofield and Ryan Turner
have accepted associate positions with Taylor McCaffrey. Gabor will practise in intellectual-property litigation, Pedersen in civil litigation, Schofield in family law and Turner in corporate and commercial law.
