Evelyn Jacks,

one of Canada's most prolific financial authors, has authored her 51st book, Jacks on Tax: Your Do-It-Yourself Guide to Filing Taxes Online. It is one of five new titles published by Knowledge Bureau, a Winnipeg-based national educational institute and financial publisher.


Cody Pierson

has been hired as communications and marketing co-ordinator at Prophet Business Group. Pierson is a graduate of the Creative Communications program at Red River College and has more than three years of experience developing and managing marketing programs in software and technology companies. He brings expertise in content marketing, lead generation and marketing automation.



Bell Media

has opened regional production development offices in Winnipeg and Vancouver. Senior industry executive Brandice Vivier will serve as development manager for the Winnipeg office, while Michele McMahon will hold the same position for the Vancouver location. Vivier and McMahon will act as the creative executives on projects coming through the two offices that are in development or production, and will lead any community engagement and outreach programs. They will report to Susan Makela, director of independent production, Canadian programming management for Bell Media. The office in Winnipeg will serve producers in Manitoba, Saskatchewan and Alberta and be based at CTV Winnipeg. The West Coast production development office will be based at CTV Vancouver and serve production communities in British Columbia and the Territories.
