Laura Mikuska has been named co-chairwoman of the Ambassadors program of the Winnipeg Chamber of Commerce. She is principal of Mikuska Group Inc., which provides senior leaders in the non-profit and charitable sector with advice on how to raise money sustainably. The Ambassadors encourage participation in the chamber's events and programs to build member commitment and retention. Rob Read, of Bison Fire Protection, is co-chairman.

In his new position, he will provide delivery management and support on client projects in Manitoba and Saskatchewan. He will be based out of Online's head office in Winnipeg.

Weiss will hold the prestigious position for the next year. He will remain as chairman of the Manitoba political action committee and on the board of directors at the Manitoba Real Estate Association. Working with federal cabinet ministers, members of Parliament, parliamentary committees and senior officials, Weiss' committee will be responsible for overseeing advocacy and realtor action on the state of current housing and property-rights issues. CREA is a national association representing the real estate industry on federal public policy matters, providing member services and education.
