Some of the most active companies traded Tuesday on the Toronto Stock Exchange:

Toronto Stock Exchange (15,274.23, up 12.59 points):

Torex Gold Resources Inc. (TSX:TXG). Miner. Up 11 cents, or 7.28 per cent, to $1.62 on 11.3 million shares.

B2Gold Corp. (TSX:BTO). Miner. Up nine cents, or 3.06 per cent, to $3.03 on 6.5 million shares.

Legacy Oil + Gas Inc. (TSX:LEG). Oil and gas. Down 28 cents, or 3.44 per cent, to $7.87 on 5.9 million shares.

EcoSynthetix Inc. (TSX:ECO). Chemicals. Up 10 cents, or 6.06 per cent, to $1.75 on 4.2 million shares.

Long Run Exploration Ltd. (TSX:LRE). Oil and gas. Down seven cents, or 1.28 per cent, to $5.40 on 3.7 million shares.

Eldorado Gold Corp. (TSX:ELD). Miner. Up 41 cents, or 4.63 per cent, to $9.27 on 3.5 million shares.

Companies reporting major news:

Aecon Group Inc. (TSX:ARE). Engineering. Down 37 cents, or 2.23 per cent, to $16.24 on 636,426 shares. The company posted a net loss of $12.2 million or 23 cents in its second quarter, attributed mainly to lower revenue and margins in its mining construction segment. Analysts expected a net profit of 15 cents a share.

Rona (TSX:RON). Retail. Up 39 cents, or 3.15 per cent, to $12.77 on 306,959 shares. The home improvement retailer reported quarterly net income from continuing operations of $42 million, or 35 cents per share, compared with a loss of $38.7 million, or 32 cents per share, in the same quarter in 2013. Adjusted earnings were $42 million, or 35 cents per share, compared with $33.6 million, or 28 cents per share, year-over-year. Consolidated revenues from continuing operations were down 4.4 per cent at $1.193 billion.
