Garth Smorang Q.C.
has been appointed board chair of the Manitoba Law Foundation. The foundation provides grants to law- and justice-related programs, and has granted over $66 million in funding to the community over its 25-year history. Smorang is a partner with Myers Weinberg L.L.P. and is also on the board of the Winnipeg Airports Authority.

Others elected: Takahiro Fujiwara, Gaia Hashimoto, Henry Kojima, Ken Matsukubo and Marli Sakiyama.
