Stone Boss out of business

THE Stone Boss Granite & Marble Design Centre Ltd., a 35-year-old kitchen and bathroom tile company on Wellington Avenue, has closed.

A sheriff's auction of production and other equipment is being held on Monday at Kaye's Auction.

Yogesh Sharma of Albano International Inc. of Vaughan, Ont., a granite supplier, filed a claim for $88,000 earlier this year against Stone Boss.

"We had been doing business with them for several years and then their cheques started bouncing," Sharma said.

Equipment such as saws, compressors, engravers as well as assorted sizes and pieces of stone, marble, granite, scrap metal and cut glass will be part of the auctioned items for sale.
