Tell us about 35 new jobs at Market Force Information in Winnipeg
LAST spring's acquisition of Tell Us About Us by a U.S. industry giant is about to pay big dividends for the Winnipeg customer-feedback operation.
An industry source said the company's new owner -- Denver-based Market Force Information -- will announce today it plans to add 35 workers to its 55-member Winnipeg workforce over the next three to six months.
"That represents an increase of somewhere in the neighbourhood of 60 per cent of their staff," the source said.
Market Force said last week it would hold a news conference at its Stradbrook Avenue offices today to announce an increased investment in its newly acquired Winnipeg operations, and the investment would lead to new jobs.
It also said Yes! Winnipeg leader Bill Morrissey would be on hand to discuss how the expansion would affect the business landscape in Winnipeg.
A spokesman for Market Source could not be reached Monday.
Market Force bills itself as the leading global customer intelligence solutions company for multi-location businesses, including major retailers, restaurants, grocery and convenience stores, financial institutions, entertainment studios and consumer packaged-goods companies.
The firm also has offices in Georgia and New York, and operates a network of 600,000 field associates in North America and Europe who conduct mystery shopping, merchandising and retail auditing, as well as real customer surveys on behalf of its clients.
Its Winnipeg office offers a variety of customer-feedback services, including call-centre services and gathering and responding to social-media posts.
Tell Us About Us founders Tyler and Kirby Gompf said last March that joining forces with a large company such as Market Force will enable the Winnipeg operation to offer a broader range of customer-feedback services.
