Tim's now offers coffee, doughnuts and Wi-Fi

  • Print

TORONTO -- Double-double addicts will soon have another reason to stop at one of the thousands of Tim Hortons (TSX:THI) outlets across the country.

The coffee-and-doughnut chain announced Thursday it is working to roll out free wireless Internet at more than 2,000 locations.

It expects 90 per cent of its "traditional" outlets across Canada will offer free Wi-Fi by September.

The plan does not include its non-traditional outlets, such as kiosks and gas-station and hospital locations.

The service is being provided through a partnership with Bell.

Tim Hortons joins chains such as McDonald's, Second Cup (TSX:SCU.UN) and Starbucks, which already offer free Wi-Fi access at many of their locations.
