Comfort for family
SURREY, B.C. -- Family members of an on-duty Mountie who died during a traffic accident in Surrey, B.C., say they're finding comfort in the messages of condolence, acts of goodwill and overwhelming support sent by the public.
Const. Adrian Oliver died Tuesday morning after a collision between his unmarked police cruiser and a transport truck at an intersection. The 28-year-old was pulled from the tangled wreckage and rushed to hospital but could not be saved.
