Shoppers to can Christmas music

TORONTO -- Shoppers Drug Mart says it will stop playing Christmas music in its stores at midnight on Friday -- at least for now.

Shoppers announced in a message on its Facebook page it was suspending Christmas music until further notice following complaints from customers.

Spokeswoman Tammy Smitham says some customers had complained that it was too soon to be playing Christmas music in the stores.
