KITCHENER, Ont. -- Areas of Kitchener are dealing with serious flooding and at least one store in the Fairview Park Mall was forced to close its doors early.
Environment Canada says a slow- moving cluster of severe thunderstorms produced heavy downpours responsible for the localized flooding.
Waterloo Regional Police were advising drivers to stay off the roads.
Forecasters say showers and isolated thunderstorms were expected to continue into Friday night between Windsor and Cornwall, with some areas receiving 40 millimetres or more of rain in heavy downpours.
