JESSICA Lloyd was fun-loving and easygoing. Her friends and family were always her "No. 1" priority.
Marie-France Comeau was a "sweet and generous" woman who loved her job with the Canadian Armed Forces.
That's how the women are being remembered by friends and family.
Both are the alleged victims of Col. Russell Williams, a high-ranking officer with the Canadian military who was charged Monday with two counts of first-degree murder in their deaths.
Lloyd, 27, was last heard from Jan. 28 when a friend received a text message. She was reported missing when she failed to show up for her shift with Tri-Board Student Transportation in the town of Napanee.
"She had an amazing personality and cared very much for her friends and family," said Lloyd's co-worker Carrie Beatty.
"She was an easygoing person and was fun to be around. She had an amazing personality and cared very much for her friends and family. They were No. 1," Beatty said.
The community threw itself into the effort to find Lloyd.
2 Xtreme Graphics in the nearby community of Belleville, Ont., donated oversized posters with her description and picture that were hung from tractor-trailers alongside Highway 401 between Belleville and Kingston, Ont. Thousands of passing motorists would have been hard-pressed not to notice her green eyes, shoulder length brown hair and smile.
The company also supplied more than 12,000 decals for cars and storefronts with Lloyd's picture.
In a statement read by Belleville police Chief Cory McMullan, Lloyd's mother Roxanne thanked family, friends and co-workers for their "unwavering love and support over the past 11 days.
"Thanks to everyone who helped search for Jessica and to those who created and printed the banners, posters and flyers, and to all family and friends who distributed them. Thanks to the many companies who assisted in making sure Jessica's picture was everywhere," the statement read.
Comeau's body was found in her Brighton, Ont., home on Nov. 25.
The 38-year-old corporal and Canadian Forces Base Trenton flight attendant had been in the military for 12 years.
"She was an angel, a flower... she's a lovely person," said Alain Plante, her former common-law partner of more than four years.
