LETTER OF THE DAY

Boo hoo for cottager

Re: Cottagers lose free park passes, May 14.

You have got to be kidding. Poor Elizabeth McGregor is upset she has to pay $28 a year to use her cottage. Oh boo hoo! I cannot believe the audacity of this woman. She can afford to own a cottage and she whines about 28 bucks a year. I looked to the top of the page thinking perhaps it was April 1 and this story was a joke, but no. Here we have someone who is clearly not hurting, suggesting that if the province wants to raise money, they should scrap the free park days. What about those people that cannot afford the park except for those days? She suggests that she has no alternative. I say she does. Sell the cottage if the $28 is such a burden.
