The Scene Ani DiFranco, Cat Empire concerts set for fall

The fiery DiFranco (right) is scheduled to play the Burton Cummings Theatre on Saturday, Sept. 19, at 8 p.m. Tickets are $40 (plus fees) at Ticketmaster and the Winnipeg Folk Festival Music Store.
A party band from Melbourne, Australia, the Cat Empire has been booked at the Garrick Centre on Tuesday, Nov. 24, at 8 p.m. Tickets are $29.50 plus fees, and go on sale Saturday at 10 a.m. at Ticketmaster, and 11 a.m. at the Winnipeg Folk Festival Music Store (211 Bannatyne Ave.).
