Kristin Scott Thomas joins 'Nowhere'

Kristin Scott Thomas and Anne-Marie Duff have joined the cast of Sam Taylor-Wood's debut feature "Nowhere Boy," about the late former Beatle John Lennon.
Pic tells the story of Lennon's childhood. Scott Thomas will play Lennon's Aunt Mimi, while Duff will play his mother, Julia.
Aaron Johnson, who recently wrapped his lead role in Brit helmer Matthew Vaughn's comicbook adaptation "Kick Ass" alongside Nicolas Cage, will play Lennon, who was murdered in December 1980.
HanWay Films is handling worldwide sales. Distrib Icon has pre-bought rights for the U.K. and Australia, while Mars Distribution has picked up rights for France.
U.K.-based Ecosse Films' Robert Bernstein and Douglas Rae will produce the pic, which was co-developed by public funding org the U.K. Film Council and broadcaster Channel 4's film arm, Film4.
Matt Greenhalgh penned the script. Lensing will start in March on location in Liverpool and at Ealing Studios in west London.
