WINNIPEG - Carrie Underwood is coming to town to play.
The country music star will bring her Play On tour to the MTS Centre on June 18 with opening acts Craig Morgan and Sons of Sylvia.
Tickets go on sale Saturday for $50 and $72.50 at Ticketmaster.
The 26-year-old won the fourth season of American Idol in 2005 and has gone on to become one of the most successful Idols in the show’s history, alongside Kelly Clarkson.
Since winning the show, Underwood has won four Grammy Awards and sold more than 20-million copies of her three albums, all which debuted at No. 1 in the United States. On Sunday she sang the national anthem prior to the Super Bowl.
She last played the MTS Centre in December 2008.
