4 students sentenced for gang-raping woman after London college party

LONDON - A British judge has jailed four students at a London college for raping a fellow student at a party.

The four men filmed the attack on the 18-year-old Malaysian student on their mobile phones.

Judge Peter Murphy said Norayr Davtyan, 22, Grigory Melnikov, 23, Armen Simonyan, 20 and Oleg Ivanov, 23, had shown a "callous disregard" for their victim. They were sentenced Tuesday for between eight and 10 years in jail.

The victim went to a party with friends in Davtyan's room on January 21 and drank some whiskey. She passed out and woke up to find herself being raped by Davtyan. The other defendants later joined in.

The students were studying at Bellerby's College in south London. The college said Wednesday that its thoughts were with the victim.
