Toronto Argonauts sign veteran offensive lineman Marc Parenteau to contract
TORONTO - The Toronto Argonauts have signed veteran offensive lineman Marc Parenteau to a contract, the CFL club announced Monday.
The 31-year-old from Sherbrooke, Que., spent the last five seasons with the Saskatchewan Roughriders.
Originally drafted by the Ottawa Renegades in 2003, the Boston College product has played 98 games over an eight-year CFL career that also included a stop with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers.
The six-foot-five 304-pound Parenteau has suited up in three Grey Cup games, winning the 2007 championship with Saskatchewan.
The Argos also announced veteran defensive back Wes Lysack has re-signed with the club. The Edmonton native had four special teams tackles and one defensive tackle in 14 games with Toronto in 2011.
Toronto also signed defensive back Marcus Bell, wide receiver Jarmon Fortson and non-import offensive lineman Donnie McKenzie.
