Vincent Price 100th birthday celebration used to help Santa Fe art centre
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - The legend of the late "King of Horror" Vincent Price is helping raise money for a Santa Fe art centre.
The Albuquerque Journal reports (http://bit.ly/vjYwj6) that the legendary actor's daughter, Victoria Price, is spending Halloween on Monday celebrating her father's 100th birthday at an event benefiting the Center for Contemporary Arts.
The Price daughter, a Santa Fe interior designer, will give a behind-the-horror glimpse of her father before he moved on to the iconic "Thriller" video voice. There will also be a screening of "The Masque of the Red Death," a 1964 adaptation of the Edgar Allen Poe story starring Price.
Vincent Price starred in a number of low-budget horror films, many later shown regularly on late-night cable.
He died in Los Angeles in 1993 at 82.
