CBC-TV's 'nice' dragon Robert Herjavec leaving the den

TORONTO - Another dragon is leaving the "Dragons' Den."

CBC-TV says tech mogul Robert Herjavec will not return to the business-minded series next season.

Herjavec is one of the show's original five judges and was considered one of the "nice" assessors of wannabe titans.

He's also the second judge to leave the show in as many years.

Last year, businessman W. Brett Wilson left and was replaced by Lavalife co-founder Bruce Croxon.

CBC says the search for a new dragon is already underway.

Herjavec, who also appears on a U.S. version of the show called "Shark Tank," said on Twitter that it was "time to move on."

Julie Bristow, executive director of studio and unscripted programming, said they were sorry to see Herjavec go after six seasons with the show.

"Robert — one of our original Dragons — has been a positive role model for many Canadian entrepreneurs," Bristow said in a release.

"We wish him well in his future endeavours."
