Father of 3 dead children found dead in Drummondville, Que., to meet media

DRUMMONDVILLE, Que. - The father of three young children found dead in Drummondville, Que., on the weekend is expected to face the media today.

Police responding to a 911 call found the children dead at their mother’s home on Sunday _ two girls aged two and five (Lorelie and Anais) and a four-year-old boy (Loic).

Their 33-year-old mother remains in hospital and police are still investigating. Police have said her life is not in danger and that she is an “important witness” who had yet to meet with investigators.

The father, Patrick Desautels, has issued a statement saying what happened is inexplicable and that he loved his children and will miss them for the rest of his life.

He is scheduled to meet with reporters this afternoon near the family business in Ste-Christine, Que.

Police have yet to reveal how the children died or where they were found inside the second-floor unit of a brick duplex in the city about an hour outside Montreal.
