Specially designed to keep your potatoes and onions dry and rot-free, this practical unit allows air to circulate amongst its contents ensuring that whatever you take out of the bin is as fresh as the day it went in.
The project's natural and handsome wood finish, along with the stylish floral design, makes it an attractive addition to every kitchen ñ just like our matching bread box and chopping block projects. And clever cooks know that it's best to keep onions, spuds and such out of the confines of a dark and dank closet.
Constructed from beautiful pine, the potato bin looks great from all sides even when being rolled about. Its top lid lifts to reveal a spacious upper compartment and a flip-down bin opens to more storage below. Casters attached to the bottom make it easy to move the bin about.
Our plans for all three projects call for only basic construction techniques. A materials list, cutting schedule and step-by-step instructions always guide you throughout. Finished, the bin stands 31-inches tall, 15-inches wide and 12-inches deep.
To begin your Potato Bin, ask for pattern No. 5020 and send $14.95 (please add $5 for postage and GST). For the Bread Box, ask for Pattern No. 0541 and for the Chopping Block, No. 0564. Ordered individually, each of these plans is also $19.95. Save and order the set of three for only $39.95 (postage and GST included).
