A few Q & As with the Class of 2017

Hey there, time traveller!
This article was published 10/6/2007 (3636 days ago), so information in it may no longer be current.

If you could travel to any place in the entire world, where would you go?

Avery: "Italy. I like their culture. I learned about it in my old school. And I like how they talk. I read a book about them that had some Italy words in it.

"I've already been to Ontario, and I'm going to see three of the Great Lakes this summer." (Rattles off all five.)

Aby: "Mexico or Hollywood. I like hot places and Disney characters."

Quinn: "I'd go visit my uncle in B.C.

"I've already travelled to the lake, which is only two hours away."

Savanna: "I have three places I'd go to: Calgary, Florida and Disneyland. Actually, I have a couple more places -- Orlando and Edmonton."

Shelby: "Disney World. We're probably going next year.

"I've only ever been to my cabin, which is in Winnipeg Beach."

Devon: "I'd go to the hottest place in the world."

Griffin: "Memphis. You can stay in a hotel and you get to play all the video games you want. I'm going to live in the hotel that Elvis lived in."

Paige: "I want to go to Hawaii.

"I have been on a trip -- to Mexico, for two whole weeks."

Kerri Lynn: "I want to go back to Orlando, Florida."

Sydney: "Hawaii."

Meagan: "Mexico."

Naomi: "The Antarctic. It's cold there and I like being in cold weather. I was born in the cold season."

Gabriel: "China!"

Garrett: "I'd go to Treasure Island, to find money. It's in South America. I read about it in one of my books."

Julian: "Cuba. I've already been there twice, so maybe Hawaii."

Thomas: "Hawaii."

Jesse: "Jasper, Minneapolis and Ireland."

Noah: "I'd go to my own imagination. I love my imagination, but sometimes it scares me. I have bad dreams."

What do you like most about yourself?

Paige: "That I love my life."

Thomas: "I have thumbs and can do stuff."

Savanna: "That I'm pretty."

Gabriel: "I'm good."

Sarah: "That I have cats."

Does anything bother you about girls?

Devon: "Some of them are annoying. They fight, like with talking. Boys, they fight like with punching. We're doing it mostly for fun."

Griffin: "No."

Gabriel: "They're mean."

Jesse: "Sometimes girls are kinda mean because they say they're better at math, but they're not always better."

Noah: "Not really. Girls have a harder life than boys. They have to look after children and they have to go to the hospital to get them."

. . . . . . . boys?

Aby: "I don't like boys when they're kooky. Like weird. Or psycho."

Naomi: "They're annoying, especially my brother. He is super strong."

Sarah: "When they're being gross, that's not funny."

Meagan: "They're annoying. They beg you to chase them."

If a magic genie granted you just one wish, what would it be?

Kerri Lynn: "I'd wish for someone to give me a pony."

Meagan: "My wish is to get eight thousand million dollars and spend it on stuff like tank tops and skorts."

Sydney: "Money, money, money."

Naomi: "That I had a thousand kittens."

Garrett: "Lots of money."

Gabriel: "I wish to be the ruler. My No. 1 rule would be: No one defeats me."

Jesse: "I'd wish for all the treats in the world."

Mason: "I'd wish I could have two wishes, then I'd wish for a million dollars in pennies."

Who do you think invented school?

Devon: "Some mean person."

(Coming up: theological debate)

Thomas: "God did -- so we can get smart.

"I know a question that nobody knows: Who made the universe?

"The answer is nobody. God made the Earth. God's father made the universe."

Gabriel: "God doesn't have a father. He was just made."
